Victoria White

Special Counsel

Victoria specialises in the use and regulation of emerging technologies, digital-first and data solutions for international business transformation and development. She is a data privacy law expert and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Asia by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, the first professional accreditation specific to privacy laws in Asia.

Victoria worked for ten years as a lawyer in the Intellectual Property & Information Technology group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Hong Kong, Beijing and London. She advised on multi-jurisdictional IP, technology, e-commerce, media, marketing, digital and data protection matters for leading international companies in the technology, finance, media, hospitality, entertainment, retail and luxury brand sectors.

Victoria has in-depth experience of integrated resort business development and operation. In 2016, Victoria was appointed Director of Regional Marketing by Marina Bay Sands Singapore to lead the strategic development and execution of regional partnerships for the integrated resort business. She went on to join the business team at Sands China as Executive Director of Loyalty Marketing to head new digital loyalty and marketing technology initiatives for the group’s resorts in the Greater China markets.

Victoria actively pursues her interest in thought leadership and innovation, participating as a guest speaker at a number of international summits and conferences on technology, data and marketing issues.

Bachelor of Arts; Master of Arts; Master of Studies degrees (University of Oxford, 2003, 2004, 2006). Graduate Diploma in Law with Commendation; Legal Practice Certificate with Distinction (BPP Law School, London, 2005, 2006). Certified Information Privacy Professional/Asia (CIPP/A) (International Association of Privacy Professionals, 2020).
